| FIT was selected to implement the “Identifying Disability Issues in Poverty Reduction Project,” funded by the Asian Development Bank. The project analyzes existing institutional frameworks and policies related to disability issues in poverty reduction programs in four Asian countries–Cambodia, India, the Philippines and Sri Lanka. Participatory strategies will be used to mobilize members of the disability community and other stakeholders in the development of innovative policies to promote disability issues in national poverty reduction initiatives. The results of these studies will be synthesized to develop National Plans of Action and inform a Regional Plan of Action to integrate disability issues in poverty reduction. | |||||||
