| The WIF project applied innovative and practical models to reduce poverty among low-income women and their families in Egypt. These included a program of credit and business advisory services to support micro enterprises and new economic activities. Two autonomous Egyptian NGOs were established to continue the lending activities. This year WIF was awarded CIDA’s Award for “Gender Equality Achievement” in recognition of WIF’s achievements in improving opportunities for women in Upper Egypt. | |||||||
