Goal:
To enhance key institutions that can improve policies related to economic reforms and that can promote human rights and democratic values.

This project is building institutional capacities and networks to promote the rights of children in Sri Lanka. FIT is working with Canadian and local experts to strengthen the capacities of organizations, families, and children in Sri Lanka to adopt and promote rights-based approaches to child protection, guided by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. This past year, FIT completed the project’s design phase and mobilized the project team. A Local Project Office in Colombo has been established to coordinate the delivery of capacity building activities.
